In a small town (Pieve di Cento), where the banks of the river Reno separate the province of Bologna from that of Ferrara, lives an old man named Francesco. His memories of a farmer divided between the wheat harvest and the family, hide his past as a professional boxer. Francesco Cavicchi became European heavyweight champion in 1955 by beating the German Heinz Neuhaus in a Bologna stadium crowded by people. It became a symbol of that need for redemption of Italy after the Second World War, through his words, following the characters and friends close to him and investigating his land of origin divided 4 between peasant art and constant industrial evolution, we will discover his true and bizarre story and that of a land that has been able to export its cultural heritage through the sweat of the front and the vitality of people.
