1944: Silenzio sul Monte Sole

September 29, 2019 marks the 75th anniversary of the Monte Sole massacre. The actors: a mountain, its inhabitants, a partisan brigade, World War II. 770 victims: 316 women, 142 elderly people and 216 children were killed in cold blood by a thousand Nazi soldiers in just a few days. This is not retaliation, but a military operation accurately planned: this is war on civilians, total war. This story still needs to be told and
studied, because the world is still at war.
