New image for Emilia-Romagna Film Commission

24 August 2016

A new image for Emilia-Romagna Film Commission, the regional public structure founded in 1997 as an interface with local authorities in order to give free of charge support to audio-visual productions and, meanwhile, to play a strategic role in promoting the regional territory.

A restyling of the logo aimed at harmonizing the past and the future has been necessary, following the new goals achieved with the implementation of the Regional Law n.20/2014– which reformed the regional film and audio-visual sector and created a new fund to support productions.

The new logo draws inspiration from the evolution of the film culture from analogue to digital. The symbol of the film becomes a stream of digital bits, symbolizing both the deep historical roots of Emilia Romagna films and the new vision of the present and the future of the digital era, a field in which the region has been investing widely to allow regional cinemas to comply with European regulations.

The new Emilia-Romagna Film Commission logo will be presented officially at the 66th Berlinale, together with the international launch of the new Film Fund of Emilia-Romagna region and call for tenders, aimed at supporting audio-visual productions in the region.
