Fiction Dolce Amore

Piazza Maggiore, the Osservanza, San Luca and Villa Benni, for the spectacular scenes. The Philippines, United States and a large part of Asian countries will soon get to know the beautiful locations of Bologna, thanks to the fiction “Dolce amore”, which includes our region’s capital city in its set locations.

Directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, currently at the top of the box offices with her film “A second chance”, which in Asia broke Harry Potter’s box office records, a long cast of big names beloved by the audiences, such as the gorgeous protagonist, Liza Soberano, and the Italian-Philiphino pop star actor Matteo Guidicelli.

However, it was Ruben Maria Soriquez, actor, film director and screen writer, whose mother is from Bologna and father from the Philippines, that decided to take this tormented three-ways love fiction to Emilia-Romagna, and he plays the father of the protagonist in the series. Soriquez was born and studied in the city but, for his professional growth, he choose Manila, and founded a production house and won prestigious awards for his interpretations in many films and TV drama.

Other locations for filming are Rome and Florence. The crew is accompanied in Italy by Emanuela Zaccherini and Francesco Cammarota of Studio 54, to the delight of the many Filipinos resident in the city, stunned and happy to be able to talk and get to know their idols.
