Tonino Guerra. L'Ulisse di campagna

Tonino Guerra is the protagonist of this report-documentary; he is one of the most important representatives of contemporary culture, especially of cinematography. In this long and intense interview, Guerra goes over the milestones of his life: from childhood in Santarcangelo di Romagna, to his beginnings in the film industry, until meeting some of the greatest Italian directors (De Sica, Monicelli, the Taviani Brothers, Rosi, Fellini), to his close cooperation with Tarkovskij, with whom he made the film “Nostalghia”, and the collaboration with Wenders and Angelopoulos, with whom he shared in 1998 the Palm d’or prize of the Festival di Cannes for the film “L’eternità e un giorno”. The film boasts also original contributions made available by private archives and Tonino Guerra himself.
The film is co-produced by the Emilia-Romagna Region.
