Meno male è lunedì

This film, directed by the journalist and film director Filippo Vendemmiati, was shot inside Dozza, Bologna’s prison: the inmates and the former workers of the project “Fare Impresa in Dozza” are the protagonists, metalworkers for Gd, Ima and Marchesini Group.

A group of about ten former metal workers, now retired, is called back to work for the companies where they had been employed for all their lives. But this time they will become teachers in an unusual and original company-school that opened a production line inside the prison. They will teach the job to 13 workers-inmates, working alongside them to build a component of a hi-tech packaging machine.

In the film the dialogue is live and the scenes are not rehearsed, shot live. The narration alternates dialogues with the life stories of the protagonists. This is how we discover that while in the “outside work ” Monday is the worst day, in the “inside work” it is the best.

The Emilia-Romagna Region sponsored this film.

The film was presented at the Rome’s Film Festival
